Delivery Information
DELIVERY
For small items, we usually use third party Logistics Company like Ninja Van to deliver to your doorstep; usually they will notify you prior to delivery, and if you happen to be unable to receive the parcel during their suggested time frame, just notify them to redeliver at another time.
Orders like furniture are delivered by our in-house delivery service. Deliveries will be made into your room of choices. We will assemble the items, and packaging will be removed upon your request.
Our in-house deliveries will be scheduled into different time slots, and we will confirm the delivery time frame with you at least one day before delivery.
ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL
Shipping your items on time is extremely important to us. We do our best to provide exact estimated delivery dates so that you are able to receive your items on time.
To provide you with a great product at the best value, most of our big furniture items like sofas are made to order. This eliminates the need for expensive warehousing bills and allows us to pass the savings on you; therefore it takes longer to reach your home than the ex-stock items. But rest assured, our products are worth the wait. On average, the lead time is about 3 weeks except the big holiday season like CNY when most of factories are closed down for certain period of time. So plan in advance when you plan to make purchase during those periods. The easiest way to find out the lead-time is to call us prior to order.

Our delivery charges are intended to cover the processing of your order, handling and packing the products, and finally delivering them to you. For orders above $300, delivery will be free.

MULTIPLE DELIVERIES FOR ONE ORDER
Our items are produced by a number of manufacturers; therefore they will arrive our distribution center at different times. If you would like your items to be separated into multiple delivery trips, additional delivery fee applies when items for each trip is less than $300 in value.

RECEIVING ITEMS
On delivery, customer or 3rd party appointed by the customer shall inspect the item(s) and the surroundings carefully before our carrier leaves the premise. Any damage detected should be immediately reported to the carrier and noted on the delivery copy. You will also need to email us at XXXX and provide a detailed description of fault and photos (or video, where appropriate) showing the damage or fault. We will then reply within 3 working days. In the event an exchange for the defect piece cannot be made, UMD reserves the rights to offer a substitute or full refund. All replacement of item(s) will depend on the next available shipment. UMD shall not be liable for any consequences (whether direct or indirect) of the delay in the delivery of the goods and no such delay shall entitle the customer to treat this agreement as being repudiated by UMD or to any comparison. If customer do not want to inspect the goods or surroundings on delivery and signed their acceptance in the delivery copy, customer agree the delivery copy is then evidence of the condition of the goods and surroundings as at the time of delivery. Hence any new defects findings at a later stage will not be entertained.
UNABLE TO ACCESS THE ELEVATOR
We agree to deliver goods to you on the understanding reasonable access is available. It is your responsibility to check measurements to ensure your goods will fit in intended areas. If reasonable access is unavailable or it becomes hazardous (i.e. items prone to damage on narrow stairway, obstruction of passageway); we reserve the right to cancel the delivery. All items to be returned to us shall be restocked and refunded, less delivery and restocking fee. Should we proceed with the delivery in a non-hazardous condition, additional charges per item will be as follows:
a) First non-lift-accessible storey(e.g. staircase delivery from ground floor) is free.
b) S$10 per item per subsequent non lift-accessible storey will be collected. This fee will also be applicable to stairs within landed properties or HDB maisonette.
DELAYED DELIVERY DUE TO UNFORESEEN SITUATIONS
- In the event of delay in shipment due to unforeseen situations, UMD reserves the right to reschedule the delivery, subjected to availability of next delivery slot.
- No specific time of delivery can be provided. A time frame will be advised but cannot be guaranteed.
- UMD shall not be liable for any consequences or any loss suffered or expenses incurred (whether direct or indirect) due to the delay in the shipment / delivery of the goods and no such delay shall entitle the customer to treat this agreement as being repudiated by UMD or to any comparison.
